A Shocking Revelation: 10 Companies Hold the Key to US Climate Impact
A recent study by the University of Massachusetts Amherst reveals a startling fact: just 10 corporations are responsible for a whopping 44% of the United States' greenhouse gas emissions. This includes privately held companies like Koch Industries, which ranks 11th with over 100 million metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions. The tool also ranks states based on the companies and facilities contributing to their fossil fuel supply, with Texas, Louisiana, Wyoming, California, and Illinois topping the list.
